Who is the “Loveable Screw Up”?
This is the guy/woman who everybody likes, maybe even your best friend, who messes everything up. Not on purpose, but they are not good at what they do but they are a great person.
It can be so bad that your business loses clients because of their screw ups. Heck, if you’re covering for them, it can cause issues with your career as well.
What do you do?
You and everyone else, need to stop covering for them. If you’re covering for someone and your manager finds out…or worse, your client finds out you’re covering for an inept employee, things can go south very quickly when they lose confidence in you.
You have a responsibility to speak up, whether to your boss or yourself if you own a business, because no one wins when someone is causing issues with your product and/or your clients.
